After School Club Leader

Cedars Park Primary School is part of John Milton Academy Trust and is based in mid-Suffolk. All schools within the trust are located in an area of regeneration and rapid expansion. The trust is fully committed to deliver ambition, aspiration and excellence for all young people and the advertised post presents an exceptional opportunity to become part of a thriving organisation. The trust presently comprises four schools, with two SEND centres for support with cognitive and learning.

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed After School Club Leader for our After School Club ‘Night Owls’.

 

You will have:

  • a recognised Level 3 or above childcare qualification
  • a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role
  • a sound understanding of child development and of children’s needs
  • the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative as appropriate
  • the ability to lead and manage staff to deliver high standards and results
  • an interest in creative play for children would be an advantage.

 

Duties would include:

  • setting up and clearing away activities for the after school session
  • caring for pupils including engaging in play, providing a snack and pupil welfare
  • supervising staff
  • liaising with parents
  • planning and providing activities appropriate to different needs.
